Derrick Henry And 3 More Fantasy Football Sell-High Candidates Ahead Of Week 7

With Derrick Henry coming off just his second 100-yard performance through six weeks, now could be the perfect time to sell high, as his value may not get much higher. He headlines a list of three other sell-high candidates heading into Week 7.

As the fantasy football season hits Week 7 and the trade deadline inches closer, it’s the perfect time for managers to reassess their rosters and make strategic moves for a stronger playoff push. One of the most valuable tactics at this stage of the season is identifying “sell-high” candidates, players whose recent performances or name recognition outweigh their true rest-of-season value. If you missed last week’s sell-high article, you can check it out here. Now, let’s dive into the top four sell-high candidates for Week 7.

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry

Henry has had a rough season so far in fantasy football. He currently ranks as the 19th overall running back, despite being drafted in the first or second round in many leagues. His production has been limited by low volume, a modest snap percentage, and minimal involvement in the passing game, compounded by an overall ineffective Ravens offense. He has played 178 snaps compared to Justice Hill’s 154, nearly a 50/50 split. With Lamar Jackson expected to miss another week and Henry now 31, potentially losing a step, this could be the perfect time to sell high on his name value, especially following his recent 24-carry, 122-yard performance.

Dallas Cowboys WR George Pickens

George Pickens has been dominating fantasy football this season. He currently ranks as the WR4 overall, averaging 20.1 fantasy points per game. His superstar teammate, CeeDee Lamb, has been sidelined since Week 3 with an ankle injury but could potentially return this week. When healthy, Lamb typically commands a massive target share, logging 13 targets in Week 1 and 11 in Week 2. In Lamb’s absence, Pickens has stepped into that role, earning 35 total targets from Weeks 3–6 (an average of 8.75 per game) and scoring five touchdowns during that stretch. However, once Lamb returns, Pickens’ volume and production are likely to regress. Now is the perfect time to trade him for a player with more sustainable value.

Carolina Panthers RB Rico Dowdle

Dowdle has posted two extremely productive weeks and lands on this list for the second consecutive week. He has dominated snap share in Carolina over the past two weeks with Chuba Hubbard out, playing 47 snaps (67%) in Week 5 and 59 snaps (88%) in Week 6. However, Hubbard is set to return this week, which could cut into Dowdle’s playing time. In Week 5, Dowdle carried the ball 23 times for 206 yards and a touchdown, adding three catches on four targets for 28 yards. In Week 6, he had 30 carries for 183 yards, along with four catches on five targets for 55 yards and a touchdown. These numbers aren’t sustainable, especially with a reduced workload. Now is the time to sell him while you can.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Hollywood Brown

Hollywood Brown delivered his best fantasy performance of the season, scoring 20.5 points on four catches for 45 yards and two touchdowns. While it wasn’t his most productive game in terms of volume, he saw 16 targets in Week 1, catching 10 passes for 99 yards without a touchdown; it was certainly his most efficient. However, Brown’s target share could decline moving forward with Rashee Rice returning from suspension in Week 7, alongside Travis Kelce and Xavier Worthy competing for looks in a talented Chiefs offense. This makes Brown a prime sell-high candidate in fantasy leagues.
