Tom Brady's Historic 2019 Jersey Draws Major Interest

The NFL preseason is already underway, and our Sundays will soon be filled with familiar faces. One of those will be the greatest quarterback of all time, Tom Brady. While Brady is busy with broadcasting, business, and other ventures, his legacy continues to grow.
One of the ways fans want to get a piece of Brady's history is through auctions. On July 24, an important game-used Brady jersey went live at Grey Flannel Auctions. Time is now running out, but the bidding war rages on. Below is a detailed look and breakdown of the jersey.
Auction Information

Currently, collectors are closely following the auction for Brady's game-used jersey from October 10, 2019. Brady led the New England Patriots to a 35-14 win over the New York Giants. Brady recorded 31 completions, 334 yards, and two rushing touchdowns. He surpassed Peyton Manning to become second on the NFL career passing yards list.
After a starting bid of $25,000, there have now been 23 bids, with the highest offer hitting $203,507. The bidding closes at 8:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, August 16, 2026.
Jersey Details

The jersey comes with an accompanying MeiGrayGroup MGS letter that notes its distinguishing characteristics. The letter goes into depth, highlighting everything from the Nike size 44 Skill tag serial number "2191100136650" to the 100th anniversary NFL shield sewn to the front collar.
According to Grey Flannel Auctions, "this jersey is properly tagged, presented to us as game-used, and in our opinion shows appropriate wear." It is accompanied by the aforementioned MeGray photo-match letter: 158668 and NFL/PSA sticker: 2N61262 affixed inside the neck.
Tom Brady's NFL Legacy

Brady passed Manning for second on the all-time passing yards list, but eventually set the record at 89,214 before retiring with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While Brady defied everyone's expectations about his age and skill in Tampa Bay (leading the Buccaneers to a Super Bowl), it will be his time in Foxborough that most fans will remember.
Of course, Brady's game-used jersey from a historic night will be far too expensive for most fans. Luckily, there are affordable options for casual collectors. Currently, there are seven Brady football jerseys (and one baseball jersey) available at mitchellandness.com.
