LOVB Salt Lake City Unveils New Roster for 2027 Season

LOVB Salt Lake is bringing back several key veterans while adding international standouts and collegiate talent.

After reaching the 2026 LOVB Championship match, LOVB Salt Lake has assembled another roster built to contend.

The group blends Olympic veterans, international professionals, post-collegiate talent, and several newcomers as the franchise looks to lift the LOVB Championship Trophy.

Setters

Salt Lake's offense will once again be directed by one of the league's premier setters in Jordyn Poulter, a U.S. Olympian whose leadership has been central to the franchise. She is joined by Maddie Waak, a former LOVB Houston player from Katy, Texas.

Outside Hitters

The outside hitter room features a blend of returning stars and exciting additions.

Canadian national team standout Alexa Gray returns after a strong debut season, bringing years of professional experience across Europe and international competition. Gray, a BYU grad, is joined by another Cougar, Roni Jones-Perry. An All-American and West Coast Conference Player of the Year, Jones-Perry picked up valuable experience on the US National Team, where she won gold at the 2019 NORCECA Champions Cup.

Claire Hoffman, a three-time All-American from the University of Washington, registered 1,571 career kills and 151 career aces throughout her collegiate career. With professional experience in France, she brings experience and top-notch skills to the team.

International star Sasipapron Janthawisut led the Thai National Team to gold medals in both the 2023 Asian Championships and the 2025 Southeast Asian Games. Janthawisut earned Best Outside Hitter honors twice in the AVC Champions League and Best Outside Hitter four times in the Thai League.

Utah native Dani Drews remains one of the team's most dynamic attackers. By the end of her time at the University of Utah, she became the all-time leader in career kills, sets played, matches played, and attempts.

Opposite Hitters

Logan Lednicky of Sugar Land, Texas, was a four-year starter at Texas A&M and picked up All-SEC honors all four years. During the 2026 season as an Aggie, she registered 467 kills and 16 aces during the 29-4 championship season. She is joined by Pauline Martin, who made her national team debut in 2022 and has since appeared in two World Championships and three VNLs for Belgium.

Middle Blockers

The middle blocker positions sees a blend of youth and international experience.

Jazmine White had a standout run at Michigan State before becoming a key member of the Canadian National Team since 2021. She has played in five countries and recently won the 2025 French Saforelle Power 6 title with Levallois Paris Saint-Cloud.

White isn't alone, with Monique Strubbe, Abby Walker and Nyadholi Thokhuom all being options at the net for Salt Lake.

Liberos

Salt Lake City's defense features international star Japan's Manami Kojima. Manami played professionally with the NEC Red Rockets from 2016-24, winning three league titles. Additionally, she competed at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris with the Japanese National Team.

Maya Sands spent one year with LOVB Houston after wrapping up her career at Missouri. With 2,000 career digs at the collegiate level, she's just another athletic defender that LOVB Salt Lake will have in its back pocket.

The combination of Olympic talent, international experience and emerging stars gives Salt Lake another roster capable of competing near the top of the LOVB standings after finishing as the league's runner-up in 2026.
