Dwight Howard won't risk long-term injury, will be a game-time decision against Celtics

Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni says Dwight Howard will be a game-time decision against the Celtics on Thursday night, according to the Boston Globe's Gary Washburn. Howard suffered a torn labrum in his shoulder and has missed the last three games. He was criticized earlier by Kobe Bryant for not playing through the injury:

"We don't have time for (Howard's shoulder) to heal," Bryant said Wednesday in an exclusive interview with ESPNBoston.com's Jackie MacMullan. "We need some urgency."

Howard participated in the team's shootaround on Thursday but says he won't push an early return at the risk of exacerbating the injury. The  Lakers (23-26) are currently in 10th place in the Western Conference.
