The Vikings will occupy the Gophers' stadium while the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome is demolished and a new stadium is built in its place. The Vikings have played in the Metrodome since its opening in 1982, sharing the space with the MLB Minnesota Twins until Target Field was built in 2009.
