New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis says he was "speechless" when his name came up in trade rumors and that the team needs to provide answers to him as to what his status with the team is.

Revis missed the majority of the 2012 season when he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in September. He says he has spoken with new general manager John Idzik and wants to know how the rumors got out in the first place.

“I was speechless; I tweeted it out I was speechless. I was speechless because I didn't get a phone call," Revis said in an interview with NFL network. "I know it's a business -- just call me; don't have it lingering out there. I need answers and I'm not getting any. Just the fact that that was put out there instead of contacting your best player on the team. If that's how you want to do business, then that's fine."
