UPDATED: Dolphins re-sign quarterback Matt Moore

[Update 10:37 a.m. EST] NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports that Dolphins backup quarterback Matt Moore will be paid more than starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill in 2013.

The Miami Dolphins have signed arguably the top quarterback in this year's free-agent market -- their own backup Matt Moore, according to NFL.com's Jeff Darlington.

A source close to Moore confirmed the new contract a few hours after the Dolphins re-signed wide receiver Brian Hartline. Moore's new contract terms were not immediately known.

Moore, 28, started 12 games for the Dolphins in 2011, passing for 2,497 yards and 16 touchdowns, and was selected team MVP. He is a close friend with the Dolphins' second-year starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill and could become one of the NFL's highest-paid backups.
