Brent Grimes draws interest from Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins still have to find a replacement for Sean Smith after the cornerback signed a deal earlier in March with the Kansas City Chiefs. As CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason LaCanfora tweeted, that hole could be filled by the Atlanta Falcons' Brent Grimes.

Grimes, a 2010 Pro Bowler, made $10 million last season with the Falcons despite sitting out most of the year with an injury to his Achilles tendon. Josh Katzowitz of CBS Sports points out that the Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have also reportedly shown an interest in Grimes. But it's the Dolphins who would see Grimes as the biggest upgrade to their secondary assuming they start Richard Marshall, who is coming off of back surgery, and Nolan Carroll.

The Dolphins have had a fairly active free agent period so far, signing receiver Mike Wallace, tight end Dustin Keller, linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, linebacker Philip Wheeler and receiver Brandon Gibson.
