Linebacker Victor Butler will reportedly sign with Saints

Free agent linebacker Victor Butler has chosen a team, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Butler, with the Cowboys last season, also visited the Steelers, Browns and Eagles.

Butler, 25, was drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round (110th overall) of the 2009 draft. He only started in three games over four years, although he was an effective sub, picking up 11 sacks during that time. He'll likely see additional playing time with the Saints, who are looking for pass-rush help while they transition to a 3-4.

Saints Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan was with the Cowboys last season and worked with Butler in Dallas.
