Raiders sign running back Rashad Jennings

The Raiders signed unrestricted free agent running back Rashad Jennings, the team's general manager, Reggie McKenzie, announced on Thursday.

Jennings, 28, was drafted by the Jaguars in the seventh round (250th overall) of the 2009 draft and spent the entirety of his four-year career with the team. While with the Jaguars, Jennings spent much of his time as Maurice Jones-Drew's backup. He played in 38 games and started in nine from 2009 to 2012, although he spent the 2011 season on injured reserve due to knee problems. He had 61 receptions for 454 yards and seven touchdowns during that time.
