Lions' second-round pick Darius Slay to miss rookie minicamp
The Detroit Lions' rookie cornerback Darius Slay will miss this week's rookie minicamp due to arthroscopic knee surgery, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter. Slay had surgery last Friday to repair a torn meniscus and he will miss the three-day minicamp with his fellow rookies as a result.
Slay will also likely miss the rest of the offseason workout schedule, but he should be ready to participate before the start of training camp. The Lions originally thought Slay would be able to avoid surgery. Slay, 22, played for Mississippi State and was selected by the Lions in the second round of the draft (fourth overall). https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/331770565654347779
