Lions agree to terms with draft pick Larry Warford

The Lions have agreed to terms with draft pick Larry Warford one day before rookie minicamp begins, reports Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. Warford, an offensive lineman, is the fifth member of the team's draft class to do so; others include receiver Corey Fuller, running back Theo Riddick, tight end Michael Williams and linebacker Brandon Hepburn. Last year, the Lions signed all of their draft picks except one before the start of rookie minicamp.

Warford played for Kentucky and was drafted by the Lions in the third round and was the 65th overall pick.

"He’s got some stuff to learn, got to clean some things up," Lions general manager Martin Mayhew said after the draft. "But I think he’s got a chance to compete to start."
