Giants sign LB Aaron Curry

The New York Giants have signed a one-year deal with linebacker Aaron Curry. Curry, 27, was released from the Raiders last season in November, after appearing in just two games and making one tackle.

A No. 4 overall pick in 2009, Curry has had 39 career starts. Chronic knee soreness caused Curry to miss much of last season with the Raiders, prior to his release.

Curry worked out with the Bengals, Bears, and Giants since his November release from the Raiders, and a total of seven teams reportedly showed interest. After visiting the Giants and taking a physical, Curry left the team without a deal. He announced via his personal Twitter on Friday that he was joining the New York Giants.

The Giants were at their 90-man roster limit, so someone will be cut to accommodate Curry.
