Bills GM Buddy Nix steps down
Buffalo Bills general manager Buddy Nix will be stepping down as the general manager of the team and will transition into the role of Special Assistant, the team said on Monday. Assistant GM Doug Whaley is expected to take over as the team's general manager.
According to The Buffalo News, Bills President Russ Brandon said three weeks ago that Nix would remain the general manager of the Bills for a "long time." The Bills had signed Whaley to an extension in February and the front office reportedly had a plan in place for Whaley to succeed Nix.
There will be a press conference later today in Buffalo.
