Quarterbacks around the NFL are getting injured at an historic pace, prompting some teams to reach out for veteran help. That includes the St. Louis Rams, who contacted 44-year-old Brett Favre even though he hasn't played in the NFL since 2010.

One quarterback who is sitting at home waiting on a call from any team is frustrated and doesn't understand why his phone hasn't been ringing.

Veteran Vince Young said earlier this month that he is in shape and ready to get back to work. Young, who was cut by the Green Bay Packers in the preseason, has a 31-19 record as a starting quarterback.

"Me and my wife and all my peers and fans, we're all trying to figure this stuff out. I don't have the slightest idea," Young told NFL Radio on Wednesday. "It's like a huge question mark over my head every day I wake up in the morning to take care of my responsibilities and know I should be playing. To not have one of those calls, it's tough."
