The Bills announced on Monday that quarterback E.J. Manuel has been cleared to return.

The rookie told reporters that he has been medically cleared to return to practice this week, and head coach Doug Marrone will determine if he plays against the Steelers on Sunday.

Manuel has missed four games since being sidelined by a sprained LCL suffered against the Browns in Week 5. The Bills are 1-3 in those games, with Thad Lewis (1-2) and Jeff Tuel at quarterback. Tuel started yesterday's loss to Kansas City.

Prior to his injury, Manuel had completed 56.7 percent of his passes for 985 yards and five touchdowns with three interceptions and a quarterback rating of 79.4. The Bills posted a 2-2 record in games that Manuel started and finished.
