Quarterback Matt Flynn and cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha both cleared waivers Tuesday and became free agents, reports NFL.com Ian Rapoport.

Flynn was released by the Buffalo Bills on Monday after the team reactivated starter E.J. Manuel, who had been out with a knee injury. The Raiders also released Flynn earlier this season after he lost the starting job to Terrelle Pryor.

Asomugha's release came after CB Eric Wright was brought off the non-football injury list by the Niners. A three-time Pro-Bowler, Asomugha saw limited playing time this year in San Francisco after being cut by the Philadelphia Eagles over the offseason.
