Texans head coach Gary Kubiak expects return to sidelines Sunday

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said that he expects to coach in this Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders.

Kubiak told reporters that he had a good appointment with doctors on Tuesday, and that in all likelihood he will be on sidelines coaching this weekend.

Kubiak returned to practice for the first time since suffering a transient ischemic attack following the first half of the Texans loss against the Indianapolis Colts.

"If everything goes well this week, yes I will," Kubiak said, according to the team's website. "I feel great today. I don't foresee any reason why I won't be doing it."

Kubiak spent two days in the hospital after the attack and said he doesn't recall much of what happened. He also said he did not watch most of the Texans' 27-21 loss to the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday. The Texans have lost seven games in a row. 

"I really don't remember a whole lot. I remember right before the half not feeling very good. Had a headache," he said. "Just hard to watch," Kubiak continued. "Just was hard to sit there and watch a football game when you've been there the whole time for the last 30 years."
