Packers coach Mike McCarthy: Aaron Rodgers has not been ruled out for Sunday

Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Tuesday that quarterback Aaron Rodgers has not been ruled out of Sunday's game.

The team reported that while Rodgers had not been cleared to play by the medical staff, he also had not been ruled out as the starter for the Packers upcoming game against the Atlanta Falcons.

“Aaron Rodgers has not been cleared by the medical staff. Aaron Rodgers will practice tomorrow in a limited fashion, and we have not ruled him out for the game yet,” McCarthy told reporters on Tuesday. “Aaron wants to play; it’s a medical situation. He has a clear understanding of where he is, as far as getting back on the field.”

McCarthy also said that Matt Flynn would be getting the majority of the snaps with the first-string offense during Wednesday's practice.
