Free agent Sidney Rice cleared for football activities
Free agent wide receiver Sidney Rice has been cleared by his doctors to return to football activities, according to ProFootballTalk.com's Mike Florio.
Rice played last season for the Seattle Seahawks, but tore his ACL in Week 8 and was cut by the team in February, saving Seattle $7.3 million in salary for the 2014 season. The team is reported to be interested in re-signing the wideout to a lesser deal.
Now that he is healthy, Rice is expected to find a home in the coming days, with the New York Giants, Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints also showing interest in bringing the former Pro Bowler to their rosters.
