Brewers' Ryan Braun leaves game with injury

Milwaukee Brewers right fielder Ryan Braun left Thursday night's game against the Atlanta Braves with what the team described as "tightness" in his right side.

Braun's apparent injury comes a little more than a week after he came off the disabled list. He had been on the DL from April 27 through May 13 with a strained right oblique, which is near the area of tightness he experienced Thursday night.

Braun, a five-time All-Star and the 2011 NL MVP, is batting .289 with seven homers and 19 RBI this season. He has an .857 OPS. He was suspended for the final 65 games last season after his involvement in the Biogenesis scandal.

Heading into Thursday night, the Brewers sat 2.5 games ahead of the St. Louis Cardinals atop the National League Central division.
