Boston Red Sox outfielder Shane Victorino left the team's 1-0 Friday loss to the Tampa Bay Rays in the ninth inning after straining his hamstring, according to Pete Abraham of TheBoston Globe.

Victorino injured his right hamstring while running out a bunt, and had to be replaced by Jonny Gomes after reaching first base.

The two-time All-Star began the season on the disabled list with the same injury, although manager John Farrell said after the game that the new injury was not as severe as the one Victorino suffered during spring training. The team plans to have his leg examined on Saturday.
