Losers of six straight, the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday placed outfielder Wil Myers on the 15-day disabled list because of a right wrist sprain and added shortstop Tim Beckham to the 60-day DL because of his knee injury, according to the team's tweet.

Myers, 23, suffered the injury in Friday's loss to the Red Sox. He collided with teammate Desmond Jennings during A.J. Pierzynski's walk-off triple in the 10th inning and fell hard on his back and right arm. He was batting .227/.313/.354 and had five homers and 25 RBI in 53 games this season. Last year's AL Rookie of the Year hit .293/.354/.478 in 88 games in 2013.

The 24-year-old Beckham is still recovering from a torn right ACL and will be on the 60-day DL. The move was made to make room for infielder/outfielder Jerry Sands, who was promoted from Triple-A Durham on Sunday.
