Argentina's football federation has been fined 300,000 Swiss francs (approximately $340,000) for skipping pre-match interviews at the World Cup, FIFA announced Thursday.

The soccer governing body's regulations call for each team's coach and at least one player to appear at the press conferences held one day before each match. Only Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella has appeared at the conferences for each of Argentina's last four matches, dating to its final group play match against Nigeria.

FIFA also issued an official reprimand to the Argentina FA as a result of its violation, which falls under the World Cup's media and marketing regulations.

Argentina defeated the Netherlands on penalties (4-2) in the semifinals of the World Cup on Wednesday. It will meet Germany in the World Cup final Sunday at the Maracana in Rio.
