Coventry fell to a 1-0 defeat against lowly Forest Green in League Two on Tuesday night, and one fan was visibly furious.

In fact, he was angry enough to enter the pitch late in the game and give what appeared to be a motivational pep talk to the players.

It wasn't clear exactly what he chose to say to Coventry's players, but it certainly looked suitably passionate enough to spark a comeback.

Unfortunately, the supporter was pushed off the pitch by one of his own players before returning to the stands of his own accord.

And the stewards at the Ricoh Arena didn't seem overly concerned, allowing the fan to do as he wished unchallenged.

Defeat left Coventry in eighth in League Two with 14 games played, while newly-promoted Forest Green remain in 23rd having secured their first win in over two months thanks to Keanu Marsh-Brown's first-half goal.

The hosts extended their disappointing goal drought to 351 minutes having again failed to score, although they boast comfortably the best defensive record in the division.
