The main talking point of Manchester United's emphatic 4-1 win over Newcastle on Saturday, was the return of Paul Pogba, as the Frenchman put on a dazzling display, both scoring and assisting on the day - emphasising what the side had been missing for the last two months in his absence.

However, while the Old Trafford faithful were both elated and impressed with his display, they also spotted an extraordinary play from Marcus Rashford, in the build up to his cushioned-header assist to Pogba.

The 20-year-old has become known for his tireless work rate and pace, in both pressing and making attacking runs off the ball, since his debut season in 2016 and is a keen believer in staying grounded through grafting for the side.

Against Newcastle though, the English international outdid himself with a blistering run off the ball - covering around 50 yards in under four seconds (around 39km/hr), to assist his team-mate.

The fans loved seeing Rashford's fantastic application to the side and were all the more surprised to see the deft and composed assist at the end of it.

Jose Mourinho picked an incredibly exciting trident for the game against Rafa Benitez, in Rashford, Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku and the results were pretty-frightening.

The Red Devils 11 were brimming with pace and flair in the final third, in the absence of the recently-languid Armenian, Henrikh Mkhitaryan - reminding everyone what the fuss was all about and why they were tipped for the title, early in the season.

Gary Lineker took to Twitter to express his admiration for Rashford and his efforts on the day, while the match was on-going.

Man Utd fans will be hoping Rashford can continue in his recent purple-patch of form for the side in the busy-festive period ahead.

United's next Premier League fixture, is a home clash against Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday, followed by a trip to Vicarage Road, to play Watford on Tuesday 18th November.
