Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is weighing up a January swoop to sign Bordeaux attacker Malcom.
The Portuguese tactician's side are by no means struggling to score goals this season, having hit 37 in 17 matches, but on occasion United have been unable to create chances to put the more stubborn teams away.
But reports have gathered pace in recent weeks that the former Chelsea manager is after strengthening his options in January, with Arsenal star Mesut Ozil also linked.
Brazilian Malcom, who is only 20 years old, possesses great pace and dribbling, and has the versatility to operate anywhere on the frontline.
Duncan Castles, via the Sunday Times, claims United boss Mourinho is strongly debating making an offer for him in January, and various UK outlets are also running the story, reporting he could cost around £26m.
It looks as though Henrikh Mkhitaryan faces a battle to stay at Old Trafford after being left out of seven of the last eight matchday squads by Mourinho, and Juan Mata's future has also been speculated over in recent weeks.
Malcom is one of the most promising young players in Ligue 1, and is knocking on the door of the senior Brazil squad ahead of next summer's World Cup in Russia.
