Head Coach Tony Mowbray has yet again said he will make changes to his side with Sunderland set to play their sixth game in 17 days against Rotherham.

Full-backs Lynden Gooch and Niall Huggins are nearing a return to first team football but are still a "couple of weeks away" according to Tony Mowbray.

Sunderland sit sixth in the Championship, one point off Watford and Luton Town. Whilst Rotherham sit 21st, two points ahead of the relegation zone.

The side Mowbray will chose against the Millers?

The side Mowbray will chose against the Millers?

GK: Anthony Patterson – Almost saved two penalties in five days when he guessed the right way for Nahki Wells 93rd minute equaliser.

RB: Trai Hume – Conceded the penalty late on against Bristol City in what is probably the first mistake he has made in a Sunderland shirt.

CB: Danny Batth – Another strong performance at the back from Batth, falling short of Sunderland’s fourth clean sheet in five league games by two minutes.

CB: Dan Ballard – Set to make his 14th consecutive appearance for Sunderland since returning from injury back in December.

LB: Dennis Cirkin – Mowbray admitted his defence is fatigued so may freshen it up with a change at left-back.

CM: Dan Neil – Set to play in his 90th senior game for Sunderland in all competitions - at the age of 21.

CM: Edouard Michut – Was excellent on Saturday before being taken off after 63 minutes.

RM: Patrick Roberts – Sunderland’s most dynamic player when on top form and manages to nutmeg an opponent every game.

CAM: Alex Pritchard – Has only started once since his return from injury but could be in line for another start to freshen up the attack.

LM: Jack Clarke – Has five goals in his last six games in all competitions and is hitting top form when Sunderland needs him most.

ST: Joe Gelhardt – Got his first goal involvement after teeing up Clarke’s finish and will be looking to get off the mark himself.
