Sunderland take on Hull City at the Stadium of Light on Good Friday after holding league leaders Burnley to a goalless draw last Friday.

Dennis Cirkin and Alex Pritchard are available for Sunderland after overcoming injuries but may be saved for a later game with Tony Mowbray’s side playing four times in 11 days.

The Black Cats sit 12th in the Championship, seven points off the play-offs with just seven games remaining.

Friday’s opponents occupy 17th position in the league and like Sunderland will be looking for just their second win in the last nine games.

CB: Luke O’Nien – Has proved he’s a capable Championship player in various positions.

CB: Danny Batth – If Sunderland are to make a late play-off push, Batth’s experience will be vital.

LB: Lynden Gooch – Man of the match display last Friday in his first start since January 14.

CM: Pierre Ekwah – Played well in his full debut against Burnley last week and gives Neil more freedom going forward.

CM: Dan Neil – Much better in a more advanced role against the league leaders.

AM: Amad Diallo – Could be in line for his first start in a month after hitting the bar from the bench at Turf Moor.

LM: Jack Clarke – Without a goal in his last seven games having scored five in six prior to his dry spell in-front of goal.

ST: Joe Gelhardt – Will be looking to break a seven-game goalless streak against Hull.
