Jack Clarke has been told definitively that he's not for sale this summer.

Clarke, 22, has been a target for a number of Premier League clubs this summer, but it's Burnley who've been making the most effort to sign the Sunderland star.

The Clarets have seen a number of bids rejected with the last of which coming in last week.

TEAMtalk revealed that Sunderland had knocked back a bid in excess of £10million for Clarke, leaving the player angered after he was apparently told that Sunderland would accept any bid over £10million.

But Clarke has now been told definitively that he's not for sale this summer.

He remains under contract for another three years and he'll be looking for another impressive haul in the Championship next time round, after he netted nine and assisted 12 in the 2022/23 campaign.

Sunderland open their 2023/24 Championship campaign with a home game v Ipswich Town on Sunday, with kick off at 5pm.
