Sunderland happy to finally benefit from a 'bad decision,' admits Tony Mowbray

Tony Mowbray says he will happily benefit from ‘bad decisions’ when he can after the draw against Luton.
Sunderland were good value for the 1-1 draw, although it came courtesy of a very generous penalty award late on from Scott Oldham.
Luton boss Rob Edwards was very unhappy with the penalty, and fairly so, and Mowbray did not appear to have much conviction that the correct decision had been given either.
However, with Sunderland the victims of a plethora of frankly horrendous refereeing mistakes of late, including in midweek against Sheffield United, Mowbray was not going to complain about this one.
"Whether it was a penalty or not, ultimately it was given," said Mowbray. "We've had enough bad decisions go against us, going back to midweek there, so you take them when they come, we scored and we take the point and move on.
"We got there in the end. Was it a penalty or wasn't it a penalty? I don't really go in there and watch stuff [replays].
"My opinion is that I don't think we deserved to lose the game, so we'll take the point and move on."
Sunderland will face runaway leaders Burnley next in the Championship following the international break.
