Ukrainian club confirm Sunderland deal to sign striker

Sunderland have signed Ukrainian striker Timur Tuterov from Kolos Kovalivka for ‘undisclosed terms,’ according to his club.
The 17-year-old is not expected to make any kind of an immediate impact, although he will link-up with the Sunderland under-19s squad.
There are few details about the deal, although it has been confirmed on the Ukrainian Premier League club’s official website.
Little is really known about the forward either. He has scored seven goals in 15 games for the Kolos under-19s this season. Tuterov has been in the squad for the Kolos first team twice this season as well but is yet to make his senior breakthrough.
Sunderland are expected to be very active this summer in their pursuit of strikers. Currently, the only senior centre-forward the club have under contract is Ross Stewart, and he is both injured and about to enter into the final 12 months of his deal.

Joe Gelhardt is leading the line in Stewart’s absence having joined from Leeds on loan in January, although he has managed just one goal so far. Ellis Simms spend the first half of the season on loan from Everton too before he was recalled early to help the Toffees’ bid to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
Stewart tore his Achilles tendon in January and will not play again this season although he is hopeful of being back for the start of pre-season training.
