House of Cards star Kevin Spacey has been somewhat of a lucky charm for the Florida Panthers this season.
Legend has it the Panthers met Spacey on a road trip before embarking on a franchise-record, 12-game winning streak. The Panthers paid homage to Spacey’s good luck by having their best player from each win don the “Spacey in space” hoodie.
The forces realigned Saturday night, as Spacey attended the Panthers’ home game against the Detroit Red Wings, rocking the hoodie he helped inspire. The Academy Award winner really seemed to soak in the moment:
Fans also joined in on the action with cutouts of Spacey’s face. They even set a record for attendance.
