WHAT'S AT STAKE

Stanford popped back into the AP Top 25 with a victory on the road over USC, but it may have been costly, with the status of QB Kevin Hogan uncertain for the trip to Corvallis. The young Beavers under first-year coach Gary Andersen embark on Pac-12 play coming off a victory over San Jose State. The Cardinal have a five-game winning streak over Oregon State.

KEY MATCHUP

Stanford's defense against Oregon State's offense. Freshman QB Seth Collins will again be challenged to lead an Oregon State offense that is ranked last in the Pac-12, averaging just over 322 yards a game with seven touchdowns. Stanford's physical defense has allowed opponents six touchdowns through the first three games with an average of 312.7 yards total offense.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

STANFORD: Hogan is likely a game-time decision after hurting his ankle in the 41-31 victory over Southern California. He was named a Pac-12 player of the week after completing 18 of 23 passes for 279 yards and two touchdowns against the Trojans.

OREGON STATE: RB Storm Barrs-Woods finally had a breakout with 151 rushing yards in last weekend's victory over the Spartans. He is the key to improving the Beavers' offensive output.
