The Alabama Crimson Tide football program is in a state of transition after losing the Rose Bowl to the Michigan Wolverines on Monday.

The offseason brings numerous changes and they're already starting as Billy Liucci of Texags.com reports that Alabama wide receivers coach Holmon Wiggins is leaving the Tide to take the same position at Texas A&M.

Wiggins joined the Alabama staff as wide receivers coach in 2019 after stops at Memphis and Virginia Tech. He's overseen Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith as well as other first round picks in Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs III, Jaylen Waddle and Jameson Williams.

He's not only credited as wide receivers coach but also carries assistant head coach of offense in his title. Wiggins has been an impeccable recruiter during his time in Tuscaloosa as 247Sports gives him credit for 5-stars such as Julian Sayin, Ryan Williams and Ja'Corey Brooks.

Interestingly enough, 12 of the 31 recruits he's credited for recruiting to Alabama by 247Sports have transferred out of the program, including nine wide receivers.

The former New Mexico running back will reportedly be taking the same position on Mike Elko's new staff in College Station. Elko's staff is nearly complete with Wiggins's addition.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban will now need a new receivers coach to get the most out of the star-studded Class of 2024. His departure is the second on-field coaching position that Saban will have to replace after losing Coleman Hutzler to Mississippi State as well.
