FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — For most Arkansas fans, this is a dead weekend. The temperature and speed of everything picks up next week with the official start of the season in what is likely to be basically a scrimmage against Western Carolina with fans, bands and tailgating in Little Rock.

There won't be broadcast TV of the game that starts at 3 p.m. in War Memorial Stadium. It is only available online at ESPN+.

Games will start this weekend that is called Week 0 by a lot of people with only a smattering of games to watch. Hey, the fans have to do a final checkout of things for the season to start next week, too.

Saturday night, Caleb Williams, the current holder of the Heisman Trophy for last season and the odds-on favorite to win another one will be in action Saturday night in the Pac 12's last season before USC drags UCLA to the Big Ten. It will only be available on the Pac 12 Network (good luck on finding it) and fuboTV.

The only SEC game on the schedule this weekend will be Hawaii at Vanderbilt on Saturday night at 6:30 on the SEC Network and fuboTV. It will be hot in Nashville at that time and construction on the football stadium has made that a complete mess. It may be the best shot anyone has to see the Commodores get a really big win.

The complete list of games is below and has Navy and Notre Dame playing at 1:30 p.m. in London, which will probably win the prize of coolest game of the weekend. That one will be broadcast on NBC and fuboTV.
