In this story:

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Many Arkansas fans view Ole Miss fans as arrogant, stuck-up snobs that parties too much. A lot of the Rebels' faithful view the Razorbacks as hillbillies that are still drinking moonshine. It's been that way over a century.

Whatever the SEC does with future football scheduling, this is one rivalry a lot of people haven't really paid attention to. The reason is probably because Frank Broyles got tired of dealing with Johnny Vaught, who refused to pay the Hogs anywhere but Little Rock while the Rebels played in three towns.

The two can't even argue over trivia. There's a game back in 1914 over claims Ole Miss used an ineligible player and forfeited a 13-7 win. Somebody in Fayetteville decided to mark it down as a win and it's pretty well stayed that way for over 100 years.

In 1960, you even had an obvious on-field correction by referee Tommy Bell to give the Rebels' Alan Green two tries on a short field goal. The first one was good, but they claimed a whistle had blown the play dead over "excessive crowd noise" and on the second one, it was wide left and Bell threw his hands up for good and ran off the War Memorial Stadium field.

Broyles never beat Vaught, even after coming close against Texas in the 1969 Big Shootout. The two teams met in the Sugar Bowl and Chuck Dicus couldn't run enough deep routes to overcome Archie Manning's first-half dominance in a big upset.

Then you have former Hogs' coach Houston Nutt going from Fayetteville to Oxford, then coming back to win a game as the Ole Miss coach in 2008 and, for good measure, the miraculous "Henry Heave" game in 2015 and you have a long history that had everything. That's a rivalry, especially with both teams in the SEC the last 30 years or so.

Saturday night, they play it again and nobody's giving the Hogs much of a chance. That's usually spelled something is going to happen in this series. Ole Miss has lost a couple of times while having their best seasons in the last decade. The Hogs have managed to come up woefully short when they could have won a couple of times, too.

Now the Rebels are riding high after a fourth-quarter comeback for an emotional win over LSU last week. The Hogs are reeling after getting kicked all over AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, by Texas A&M last weekend. Ole Miss is favored by 13. Don't be surprised at anything this game shows.

The game kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at Vaught-Hemmingway Stadium in Oxford Miss. The game be on on the SEC Network and fuboTV.
