FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The new-look 2024 Arkansas offensive line is slowly starting to come into focus for newly minted coach Eric Mateos. The Razorbacks have landed its third player along the offensive line through the transfer portal. Addison Nichols announced his commitment to the Hogs after two seasons at Tennessee.

Nichols comes to Fayetteville after two seasons at Tennessee. He redshirted his freshman year and played 49 offensive snaps across 11 games in 2023. The Razorbacks seem to have an affinity to land players from Tennesee. Nichols, along with Doneiko Slaughter, becomes the second Volunteer to change SEC colors and become a Razorback in the past week. The teams square off Oct. 5, 2024, inside Razorback Stadium

The Hogs now have three different offensive linemen from the portal. Nichols joins Keyshawn Blackstock and Fernando Carmona to shore up an offensive line that finished 132nd out of 133 FBS teams in sack percentage allowed. Arkansas allowed sacks 13.37% of the time, a sharp increase from 8.71% in 2022. Nichols has potential at both center and guard.
