FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Recently, Coach Sam Pittman shared his needs to fill out the roster for 2024. While the recruiting class remains in the cellar of the conference, the Razorbacks have added notable recruits along the way with several impressive young returners.

Arkansas added a major piece to its class when adding Top 100 prospect Bradley Shaw to play linebacker. Now, Pittman's staff continues to offer transfers in areas of need like receiver and cornerback.

One of the more underrated transfers in the portal right is Marquise Robinson from South Alabama. The 6-foot-2, 185 pound cornerback played the previous two seasons with the Jaguars after starting his career in the junior college ranks. He played in all 13 games in 2023 recording 36 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, six pass break-ups and three interceptions.

Robinson tells allHogs that Arkansas is "most definitely" a place to which he would consider transferring.

"The staff is fired up and ready to get things rolling in Fayetteville," Robinson said. "I feel that’s a great demeanor from the staff."

Texas A&M transfer wide receiver Jordan Anthony is considered a speedster at wide receiver with a 10.21 100-meter dash and 20.86 200-meter dash in high school. Anthony signed with Kentucky out of high school as a 4-star athlete, per 247sports composite rankings. The following year, he transferred to the Aggies, catching three passes for 14 yards last season. The 5-foot-10, 160 pounder will visit Arkansas in the next week or two, according to Danny West of 247sports

Obviously, a connection between Anthony and Arkansas offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino could help the Razorbacks chances for his transfer to Fayetteville.

One player who announced his decision to transfer is Florida offensive lineman, Micah Mazzccua. He played on the interior at right guard for the Gators starting 11-of-12 games this season with a grade of 67.4 from Pro Football Focus-College. He transferred to Gainesville following three seasons at Baylor where he was one of the best in the Big 12 in 2022. The 6-5, 338 pounder graded as the second best guard in the conference at 74.9.

An offer to Mazzcua from Arkansas would come as no surprise considering he played for current Arkansas offensive line coach Eric Mateos at Baylor. The transfer enters the portal as a 4-star, the No. 180 prospect and No. 11 amongst interior linemen, per 247sports.
