Will Auburn Add Top Running Back To Commitment List?

One of Alabama’s top recruits announces decision today

Auburn is in the midst of a top recruiting battle for one of Alabama's top prep football recruits.

Alvin Henderson is a frequent visitor to the Plains with over 10 unofficial visits during the past two years. He is a definitive priority recruit for Hugh Freeze and his coaching staff. The #36 overall recruit by Rivals, he’s making his college choice today at 12 CST.

Henderson has taken recent unofficial visits to Auburn, Florida State, Miami, and Penn State. There are predictions for Henderson to select Penn State despite being roughly two hours from the Auburn campus. That would be a blow to Auburn’s recruiting efforts.

Keep in mind, the 2024 Auburn recruiting class does not possess a running back. So far, the 2025 recruiting class does not hold a running back commitment either. This is only April, however, and Tigers fans can expect Henderson to continue to be pursued by the Auburn staff even if he does pick the Nittany Lions.
