Auburn Earns Commitment From In-State Recruit

The Tigers continue to prioritize in-state recruiting

The Auburn recruiting efforts continue to include top Yellowhammer State prospects and today is further proof of that.

247's rankings have Carde Smith as a 4-star prospect and the #216 player in the nation. He is now the latest commitment for the Tigers. At 6-foot-6 and 300 pounds, Smith is the right tackle for Mobile (Ala.) Williamson. He's also the fifth in-state recruit to select Auburn. Smith is certainly a prospect worth taking this early in the recruiting cycle.

His HUDL film showcases several plays where his quick feet help him to locate and overpower linebackers at the second level, as well as be quick to the fight and help to dismantle defensive linemen. After watching a few minutes of Smith's film it's not surprising that his offer list is extensive.

Auburn, Florida State, Tennessee, Miami, Ole Miss, Florida, Texas A&M, Duke, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, UCF, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Missouri, and South Carolina are some of Smith's offers.

The Tigers are now up to 10 total verbal commitments for the class of 2025. With Smith in the recruiting fold, the Tigers also have four offensive linemen pledged to the future of the program. Offensive line is a top priority for Auburn and the Tigers are hitting the mark.
