Under Armour Atlanta Camp: 'Elite' Recruiting Targets Competing This Sunday

In this story:
The Under Armour Atlanta Camp never disappoints and this year has a chance to be special.
There are a plethora of top prospects from Alabama and Mississippi that will make the trip to the Peach State to compete. That makes the Atlanta Under Armour Camp arguably the best one on the entire circuit.
Some of the best high school football talent in the nation will be competing for top honors at the invite-only event being held at Carrollton (Ga.) High School and its magnificent indoor facility called the Pope-McGinnis Student Center.
Here are recruiting nuggets and evaluations on 20 of the top 2025 recruits participating at Under Armour Atlanta.
Note: Recruiting rankings are from ESPN's Jr300 and an * next to a player's name denotes being committed to the 2025 Under Armour Next All-America Game.
- No. 1 QB Julian Lewis (USC commit)*
Lewis is originally a class of 2026 recruit who reclassified to 2025. He's as accurate a passer as one will find and has an uncanny ability to read a defense and pick it apart. He's been a recruiting name to know going back to his middle school days. Having seen Lewis at the 2023 Elite 11, there are few pocket passers as consistent as him.
Lewis is actually at Carrollton (Ga.) High School where Under Armour is holding this Sunday's event, and a few local college programs want to change his mind on a college decision.
While committed to Southern California, college football programs such as Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, and many others are going to continue to come after Lewis. His recruitment will be one of the most highly contested in recent memory.
- No. 7 DL Justus Terry (Georgia commit)*
As imposing as a current NFL defensive lineman, Terry's physical presence stands out in a crowd. He was arguably the most eye-opening prospect at last year's Atlanta Under Armour despite the 2024 group being exceptional and a year older.
Georgia is the school Terry is committed to. Auburn is the program to watch if he does flip his decision. Terry hails from Manchester (Ga.) High School, just over an hour from Auburn's campus. His recruitment will be one to watch.
- No. 24 OL Micah DeBose*
DeBose is a dominant prospect as a tackle or guard. Coming from Prichard (Ala.) Vigor, it does not matter which position he plays because DeBose has the feet to be effective on the edge and the power and tenacity to be along the interior. He certainly showed his talents at last year's Future 50.
Curious to see DeBose perform again and gauge how much further he's come with technique. The one-time Georgia commitment is reportedly an Auburn lean. Now that Kalen DeBoer is the leader for Alabama, it will also be interesting to hear if the Crimson Tide factor into Debose's recruitment.
- No. 27 DL Jared Smith
This might be the player many recruiting analysts are most intrigued by. Playing at Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson, Smith is a long and lean edge rusher with an offer list that's the who's who of the college football world. It will be awesome to see him in one-on-ones against DeBose, et al, as Atlanta UA is always loaded with top big men.
Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, and Southern California are some of the schools that are catching Smith's attention. With his 6-foot-6 and 225-pound frame being coveted, Smith's recruitment could come down to National Signing Day.
- No. 41 QB Antwann Hill*
At 6-foot-5 and 217 pounds, Hill has a traditional pocket-passer build. He also possesses one of the strongest arms in the country. Playing for Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County, Hill is accustomed to going against top competition to utilize his budding skills.
Hill's performance during Battle Miami 7v7 did not hurt him with his recruitment either, as he's showing more touch with his underneath throws while still being a top deep-ball passer.
The one-time Colorado commitment is now back on the open market. Texas A&M, Florida, and maybe Georgia could be landing spots for Hill. Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart recently came down to Warner Robins to see Hill.
- No. 45 DL Zion Grady
This is a true edge defender; Grady provides the frame college coaches covet at a position of high value. Long arms and a frame to weigh 250 pounds have all the top SEC programs coming after Grady.
Learning about Grady from Enterprise (Ala.) High School head coach Ben Blackmon solidifies what's seen on his HUDL film. That's probably why helicopters were landing with head coaches like Smart, DeBoer, and Miami's Mario Cristobal coming to recruit Grady.
Hugh Freeze and his Tigers, along with the rest of the SEC, are also making every effort to land the big-time edge defender. Grady is the rare pass rusher who can change a college football game with a strip-stack that seemingly comes out of nowhere.
- No. 52 QB KJ Lacey (Texas commit)*
Arguably the most interesting recruitment in the country involves Lacey. He had all three of Steve Sarkisian, Nick Saban, and Freeze come to see him play in the Alabama 6A State Title game.
Bama is not after him as much now that Saban is gone, but Texas and Auburn are still primary suitors. Will Bama go hard after Lacey at some point? Hard to say. According to what Sarkisian has told Lacey, he believes the Saraland (Ala.) High School signal-caller's style of play resembles former Alabama Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young.
- No. 56 RB Alvin Henderson
Scoring 61 rushing touchdowns as a junior, Henderson's recruitment is full of the elites despite playing at a small school in the Southeastern Region of the Yellowhammer State. It's Elba (Ala.) High School where Henderson excels, and it's going to be great to see him compete with big-time players at UA Atlanta.
Many believe Auburn is the team to beat for Henderson. Do not discount Miami, Florida State, Georgia, Alabama, and other programs from being prime contenders for Henderson's signature either.
- No. 58 RB Akylin Dear
It's not often that top Mississippi prospects are seen by several recruiting analysts at one time. Seeing the 6-foot-1 and 200-pound slasher from Quitman (Miss.) High School competing against Henderson and talented running backs, as well as top linebackers during one-on-ones, will be a treat.
From a running style perspective, he's somewhat like NFL Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson. When Dear puts his foot in the ground and then runs through an opening in the line, a would-be tackler better keep his pads low before contact. Also like Dickerson, Dear quickly hits top gear and races down the field for scores.
Ole Miss could be the team to watch with Dear. The usual SEC suspects are also coming after him like Mississippi State, Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, and others. Miami is still going after him and he's a top priority recruit.
- No. 71 DB Devin Williams
Playing for traditional power Buford (Ga.) High School, Williams is one of the most coveted cornerback/nickel defenders in the country. He's a patient defensive back, especially for his age, who plays his keys and creates plays with each of his eyes, hands, and feet. The film does not lie.
He's visited numerous schools already like Georgia, Notre Dame, Kentucky, and Tennessee, plus two recent trips to Auburn including one the first weekend of February.
- No. 78 OL Cortez Smith
Another prospect from just outside of Atlanta at Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview, Smith is an athletic player who possesses position flexibility. His talents are bringing in the college programs.
Among the schools Smith is interested in, he told 247's Steve Wiltfong, "I’m actually in the process of scheduling spring visits with Georgia Tech, Miami, South Carolina, Auburn, Florida State and Georgia."
- No. 81 OL Juan Gaston Jr.*
Massive at roughly 6-foot-8 and 340 pounds, Gaston is a prime target for Georgia and Tennessee among other SEC schools. The Hurricanes would also love to land the massive lineman. He plays for Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake and college coaches are continuing to recruit him after first learning about Gaston when he came into high school.
Under Armour will be a great test as he will see tremendous edge rushers. The UA Camp will help give scouts an idea if Gaston is best suited to one offensive line position or another.
- No. 97 TE Ethan Barbour (Georgia commit)
ESPN's top-rated tight end in the country, Barbour hails from Alpharetta (Ga.) High School. He's a modern tight end at 6-2.5 and 225 pounds. Barbour creates the majority of his best plays in the passing game because he is like a big receiver.
When not playing out wide, playing h-back, fullback, and an inline tight end are also options. Georgia has his commitment. Now the Bulldogs must keep Barbour in the recruiting fold.
- No. 107 DB Cortez Thomas*
Impeccable timing augments several aspects of Thomas's game. He's crafty as a free safety who baits an opposing quarterback into a throw, times his leap to win contested catches, and sets up his chance to strike a ball carrier with a coil before driving into his midsection.
He's also a long and rangy corner who plays man or zone well. That's why Ole Miss and Mississippi State are doing their best to sign Thomas from Lexington (Miss.) Holmes County. Some of his offers include Colorado, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, and Memphis. Look for Thomas to add quite a few more offers in the coming months.
- No. 118 DL Kevin Oatis Jr.*
Oatis presents the rare opportunity to be an edge defender while also being 6-foot-2 and 285 pounds. His junior film shows him playing defensive end and consistently beating offensive linemen to the gap Oatis wants to penetrate. When bull rushing, Oatis displays tremendous power from his lower and upper body.
The Hattiesburg (Miss.) High School player can play in a one-gap system and flourish or do the same in a two-gap scheme as well. LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, and many programs want Oatis on their respective college rosters.
- No. 123 QB Deuce Knight (Notre Dame commit)
For anyone who has the opportunity to stand next to Knight and watch him effortlessly toss the football 40 or 50 yards, it's impressive to watch his limber arm slingshot the football down the field. When Knight is a runner, it's arguably even more entertaining.
He has a vertical over 40 inches and possesses the speed of a top wide receiver prospect. Knight's recruitment went national before he chose the Fighting Irish over numerous SEC programs like Tennessee, Ole Miss, Alabama, and others.
- No. 135 DL Isaiah Gibson
One of the nation's best all-around defensive ends, Gibson's quickness allows him to be a true speed rusher, while his strength enables him to use power with his pass rush and play the run. Gibson is well trained at Warner Robins (Ga.) High School and that's also helping this young man's recruitment.
Georgia is the odds-on favorite to land his services, while Oklahoma, Clemson, Auburn, South Carolina, Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, Oregon, and Southern California are all programs extending offers to Gibson.
- No. 145 LB Jakaleb Faulk (Auburn commit)
Yet another long and lanky edge defender from the Yellowhammer State, Faulk is just now starting to grow into his body. He's 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds now but could end up at 250 pounds, if not more. Faulk's junior film provides a glimpse of his all-around skills playing inside linebacker and on the edge.
He's heading to the Plains to play with his brother Keldric Faulk. There are still going to be schools coming after the younger brother, but expect the Highland Home (Ala.) High School prospect to end up signing with Auburn.
- No. 151 LB Jaedon Harmon
Harmon is a three-down linebacker. Physical against the run, changes directions well to chase down running backs and wide receivers, and shows the ability to play in space as a pass defender.
The Rome (Ga.) High School recruit is coming off a visit to Florida State on Feb. 3. Auburn, Tennessee, Clemson, Miami, Texas, Oklahoma, LSU, Michigan State, and Ole Miss are some of the other programs to extend an offer to Harmon.
- No. 231 OL Tavaris Dice
Athletic offensive lineman with the talent to play guard or tackle at the SEC level. he's 6-foot-5 and 293 pounds right now and has plenty of room to weigh 320 pounds or more. Dice's athleticism is why he's an SEC-level recruit, however.
He has the quickness to compete with edge rushers, while also the desire to bend his knees, get low, and power through a defensive tackle. Coming from Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes, Dice has a high ceiling. Auburn is the team to beat right now, with Miami, LSU, Georgia, and many other programs battling for an official visit.
