Four Reasons Auburn's 2025 Recruiting Class Will Be Elite

Auburn fans should be excited about the current recruiting class

Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class is being constructed the right way.

Here is a look at why Auburn fans should be happy about the future that Hugh Freeze and his staff are creating. As of today, Auburn's 2025 recruiting class is #7 nationally.

1) Attracting the best talent from Auburn’s backyard.

There are two primary states that Auburn must win big-time recruiting battles in Alabama and Georgia. Those two states are the bread and butter of Auburn football’s history and shall not change now.

From Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class, four prospects from Alabama and Georgia, combine for eight of those nine Tigers’ commitments. Some of the best talent in America hails from each of the Yellowhammer and Peach States.

2) The coaching staff is making proper evaluations.

It is a great to possess so much talent near Auburn University. There are still choices to be made. Auburn continues to prioritize prospects that possess at least one of the two following traits: instant impact potential or the physical traits to be built into an upper-echelon SEC starter.

A great example is recent Auburn commitment Tai Buster. His athleticism stands out from the moment someone begins to watch his film. He could play multiple spots along the offensive line. Buster has other Power 4 offers but the Tigers were one of the first to truly go after him and now he is a commitment.

3) The Tigers are conquering their needs.

Auburn must hit on top defensive line and offensive line targets. Six of their nine verbal commitments are from the trenches. The athleticism stands out, as does the position flexibility.

As an example, Malik Autry and Jourdin Crawford could play either interior defensive line position, as well as both possessing the size and talent to play in a three-man or four-man defensive line scheme.

4) Auburn is defeating top competition for prospects.

The Tigers are beating Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida State, Florida, and other top programs for recruits. While one can point to recruiting rankings, beating your peers for recruits is a great sign.

December’s National Signing Day is a long way off, but Auburn is also positioning itself to land other top players like Eric Winters and Alvin Henderson. They are two more big-time recruits coveted by national programs.
