Auburn center Connor Lew named to the 247Sports True Freshman All-American team

In the SEC, you don't often see true freshmen starting in the trenches, but after Avery Jones went down with an injury, freshman center Connor Lew was Auburn's new center.

Lew started the remaining five games of the season for the Auburn Tigers and graded out at a 66.3 on PFF.

247Sports just put out their True Freshman All-American team, and Lew was listed as the center.

This is what Chris Hummer of 247Sports had to say about Lew, "Auburn was forced to throw Lew into the starting lineup in the middle of SEC play after center Avery Jones was injured. It worked out really well. Lew started the final five games of the season for the Tigers, allowing no sacks and three pressures during that five-game stretch. He also helped an excellent Auburn rushing attack to keep rolling."

It's great to see Lew get some praise for the excellent job he did filling in for the injured Jones down the stretch.

The Auburn coaching staff has to feel extremely confident in Lew going forward as we start to look ahead to the 2024 season.

Offensive line has been a problem for Auburn for many years, but Coach Freeze is changing that narrative quickly.

Lew will be a dominant force in the SEC for a long time and will hopefully be a big reason why Auburn's offense will be successful in 2024.
