After the win over Vanderbilt the Tigers stayed in the same spot of ESPN's FPI rankings

Auburn's ESPN FPI ranking didn't change after the win over Vanderbilt.

Auburn traveled to Jordan-Hare North to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores in Nashville.

This was technically a road game, but the roar of Auburn fans could be heard from miles away.

Auburn, thanks to great defensive play, a solid showing from Payton Thorne, and some long touchdown runs from Jarquez Hunter, was able to get the 31-15 win over the Commodores.

After the big win, Auburn stayed in the 31 spot of ESPN's FPI rankings, which is a bit surprising after an SEC road victory.

The Tigers projected record jumped from 6.4-5.6 to 6.5-5.5 after the win over Vandy.

Hugh Freeze's squad's chances of winning six or more games jumped from 88.9% to 96.2%, so the FPI numbers feel confident the Tigers will play in a bowl game.

It's surprising this number isn't higher than 96.2%, as the Tigers already have five wins on the board and still have New Mexico State on the schedule.

Now, Auburn will face a more challenging test as the Tigers will head to Fayetteville to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks.

ESPN's FPI numbers give the Tigers a 46% chance to win this one, so they think Auburn will pick up another road loss.

If Auburn's defense plays like it has and Thorne settles into this ball game early, the Tigers will win this game on the road, setting up a 7-4 record heading into the Iron Bowl.
