Auburn Player Gives Thanks To Tigers Fans And Prepares For NFL

Training for the NFL Draft

TAMPA, Fla. - Preparing for the NFL Draft is a grind.

Former Auburn players looking to reach the NFL have to go through intense training to maximize their skills and testing numbers. For this former Auburn offensive lineman, he's now training at Trench Academy in Tampa.

Avery Jones wants his shot to become a professional. The former center for the Tigers is in great shape and continues to improve his footwork, hands, and blocking concepts by working with offensive line trainer Ray McNeil. Watching Jones train at Trench Academy, here are video clips from the recent workout:

Every rep is scrutinized with the intent to make improvements that last. The now former Tiger also appreciates the love that Auburn fans have for their team.

"I love being an Auburn Tiger," Jones said. "The fans showed me a lot of love and how Auburn really loves football. They take pride in being Auburn Tigers and I do, too."

Jones came to the Plains after three seasons at East Carolina. He's appreciative of his chances to play in the SEC.

"That transition from the American Conference to the SEC was a big one for me. Now, I built my body up. I'm training and sculpting my body, and just getting ready for the NFL Draft."

Good luck to Jones with the rest of his NFL Draft training.
