The Auburn Tigers are adding talent to their defensive backfield. Already with cornerback A’Mon Lane from Moody (Ala.) High School, cornerback Jalyn Crawford from Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview, and safety Kensley Faustin from Naples (Fla.) High School, the fourth defensive back of the class is now in the fold.

The 17th commitment for Auburn’s 2024 recruiting class is Kaleb Harris. He’s also the 10th in-state commitment for Hugh Freeze and the Tigers. He is going with Auburn instead of Florida, LSU, and several other SEC schools.

Harris is 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds. Playing for Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson, Harris will be a player that defensive coordinator Ron Roberts finds multiple roles. Harris attacks the football well, and he’s a striker, too. There’s the possibility that he can play a dual role for the Tigers.

The nickel and dime packages may see Harris as a quasi-linebacker who can play the run, blitz off the edge, and be impactful in coverage.

Later today at Auburn Daily, look for a full prospect review of Harris.
