Brian Battie on LSU: 'I think we're pretty prepared for this game'

Here's what the Auburn running back had to say ahead of the matchup with LSU.

Auburn will have its work cut out for it against LSU, so it will be important to play to its strengths.

Running the football is one of the things Auburn does best, so it will be important to get the ground attack going early.

Brian Battie, a running back and kick returner who joined Auburn through the portal this offseason, has cemented a role for himself in Auburn's rushing game.

Battie expressed his excitement to play a night game in Tiger Stadium.

"I came here to play in games like this," Battie said. "I don't think any environment can match our last game against Georgia, but these are the types of games I came here for."

Auburn has already played on the road this season. Battie believes that will help the team stay focused in the hostile environment.

"Texas A&M was a hostile environment too," Battie said. "I think we're pretty prepared for this game here in Death Valley."

Auburn has a deep rotation at running back. Battie discussed what the transition has been like from being the primary ball carrier to sharing carries with the rest of the group.

"It's a little different, but all I think about is going out and playing ball," Battie said. "I'm just trying to do what I got to do and I don't really think too much about that."

Battie and the rest of the running backs will get their fair share of chances this week. Capitalizing on them will put Auburn in a good position to grab its second-straight win in Baton Rouge.
