Auburn may be switching to a new apparel brand here soon.

Under Armor, the brand the Tigers have used since 2006, has been in negotiations with the university for a new deal after the contract expired earlier this year.

Right now, it's looking like Auburn is trying to move as carefully as possible before making a decision.

Auburn is still under contract with Under Armor and will be until 2025, but the “exclusive negotiating period” between both parties ended September 1st.

If the university wanted to, they could begin negotiations with Nike, a brand fans have been begging Auburn to switch to for years.

Taylor Korn of The Next Round posted a clip on Twitter of Barkley emphasizing the Tigers' need to transition to a new brand during an interview recorded back in April of 2023.

"The only thing I've got to do, I've gotta get my Auburn Tigers into Nike gear, and get out of that Under Armor stuff," Barkley said.
