Derick Hall Slated to Kansas City Chiefs in Zierlein's Latest 2023 Mock Draft

NFL Analyst Lance Zierlein is projecting former Auburn edge rusher Derick Hall to join the reigning world champions in his latest mock draft.

Since his declaration for the 2023 NFL draft, Auburn edge rusher Derick Hall has been the center of late-first or early-second-round conversations. In the eyes of NFL Media draft analyst Lance Zierlein, Hall is a first-rounder; Zierlein's latest mock draft has the former Tiger headed to the Kansas City Chiefs at No. 31 overall, the final pick of the first round.

According to Zierlein, the addition of Hall might make the most sense for Chiefs kingdom following the parting of ways with now 29-year-old Frank Clark, not to mention the complimentary pairing with second-year standout George Karlaftis.

It is also worth noting that — if the Chiefs select Hall at 31 overall — offensive coordinators around the league will have to deal with the headache of scheming against a pair of young playmakers who can get to the quarterback while also dealing with seven-year veteran Chris Jones on the interior. Jones recorded 15.5 sacks in the Chiefs' latest Super Bowl campaign.

With over a month and a half remaining before draft day, there is still plenty of time for Hall's stock to rise and many anticipate that he will impress front offices when given the opportunity to interview; however, it is difficult to imagine a world in which Hall was not successful if fate were to place him as an instant impact on the roster of the reigning world champions.
